What is the difference between Adjectives, Nouns, Verbs, Adverbs?

Adjectives
Adjectives are describing words. They make nouns more interesting.
 
Nouns
Nouns are words that are used to name things (people, places, things).
 
Verbs
Verbs are doing words.
 
Adverbs
Adverbs tell us more about verbs. They tell us how, when or where the action of the verb happens.

The brown cat cautiously sat on the mat  =  The .. (adjective) .. (noun).. (adverb).. (verb) on the .. (noun).
